La Botica candles are new to the Saffron + Poe shop and we couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce you to them!
Owned by Dawn Marie West, a Black Dominicana from New York, La Botica marries ritual and la cultura in one conceptual studio. With its core values around self-care, West started La Botica as a sanctuary for herself.
West cites her transition from museum work to her artwork working eventually in new unconventional mediums--fragrance and experience, and thus was born La Botica, a Farmacia of self-care.
West’s signature fragrances instantly elevate your space with the warm scents that are subtle and refined. We came across La Botica and fell in love with the line and thought they would be a perfect addition to our store; they are the quintessential gift for the host who has everything, the friend you want to send a token of love to or even for yourself as an act of self-care.
In our shop, on heavy rotation, we’re burning Ceremony, with notes of ethically-sourced Palo Santo oil from Ecuador, Cedarwood and bright citrus essential oils. We also carry the Barcelona and the Casablanca candles, both of which transport us to different lands.
The Barcelona candle draws inspiration from the flamenco, with its floral peony and rose scents, citrusy grapefruit and mandarin along with grounding musk and wood.
Casablanca embodies Morocco, with fig tree, Cedarwood and blooming galbanum. We love both these candles and we know you will as well!
