Saffron + Poe (“Saffron + Poe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit or make a purchase through our website (the “Site”).
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
1. Contact and order information, including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, telephone number, items purchased, order history, and communications with us.
2. Payment information. Payment information is processed through Shopify and/or the payment provider you select. We do not intentionally retain complete payment-card numbers.
3. Device and usage information, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring and exit pages, interactions with the Site, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or similar-technology identifiers.
4. Marketing information, including your email address, mobile telephone number, marketing preferences, SMS opt-in source and status, date and time of consent, communications preferences, message-delivery information, interactions with our marketing emails or text messages, and opt-out requests.
5. Shopping-cart information, including products placed in your cart and actions associated with your cart, where this information is used to administer a cart-reminder or other marketing program. Information you provide directly, including information you submit through an email, customer-service request, review, or other communication.
How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
1. Process, fulfill, ship, and communicate with you about orders, returns, and customer-service requests;
2. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Site and our business;
3. Understand Site usage and measure the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing;
4. Send promotional email and text messages where you have subscribed or where otherwise permitted by applicable law;
5. Administer our email and SMS marketing programs, including recording and honoring subscription and opt-out preferences;
6. Send shopping-cart reminders or other marketing messages to individuals who have opted in to receive SMS marketing messages;
7. Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, misuse, and violations of our terms; and Comply with applicable law and enforce our rights.
Email and SMS Marketing
If you choose to receive marketing communications, We may send you information about our products, promotions, and updates by email and text message. We may use Klaviyo and other service providers to manage and deliver these communications.
Email. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at fiona@saffronandpoe.com. Opting out of promotional emails will not prevent us from sending transactional or service-related messages, such as order confirmations, shipping updates, and responses to customer-service requests.
Text messages. If you provide your mobile telephone number and separately opt in to receive promotional text messages from Saffron + Poe, we may send recurring automated promotional and personalized marketing text messages to that number, including cart reminders if you begin but do not complete a purchase. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message or by contacting us at fiona@saffronandpoe.com. For help, reply HELP or contact us at the same email address. After you opt out, we may send one confirmation message confirming your request, but we will not send further marketing text messages unless you later opt in again.
We use your mobile number, consent status, opt-in source, shopping-cart information, message-delivery information, and interactions with our text messages to administer our SMS program, deliver marketing messages and cart reminders, respond to requests, maintain suppression lists, and comply with applicable law.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember shopping-cart and session information, understand Site traffic and usage, measure advertising, and support advertising that may be tailored to your interests.
Shopify
Our Site is hosted by Shopify. Shopify may place cookies or use similar technologies necessary to provide storefront, checkout, cart, security, and related ecommerce functions.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages, and interactions with the Site.

Google Ads
We use Google Ads to measure the performance of advertising and, where enabled, to show or help show advertising that may be relevant to visitors’ interests. Google Ads may use cookies or similar technologies to recognize browsers or devices, measure conversions, and support advertising across websites or online services.
You can manage Google advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings.
Klaviyo
We use Klaviyo to manage email and SMS marketing and related analytics. Klaviyo may process contact information, mobile telephone numbers, marketing preferences, order or customer information we provide to it, shopping-cart activity, and information about whether you open or interact with our emails or text messages.
Your Choices
Most browsers allow you to remove or reject cookies through browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect the availability or functionality of certain Site features, including shopping-cart and checkout functions.
You may also use industry advertising opt-out tools, including the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page and the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:
1. Service providers that perform services for us, including Shopify, payment processors, shipping providers, Google, Klaviyo, our SMS-platform provider, email providers, website-hosting providers, and professional advisers;
2. Government authorities, law enforcement, or other parties where we believe disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law, legal process, or a lawful request; protect our rights, safety, property, or security; or investigate fraud or security concerns;
3. Business transferees, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction; and
4. Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
We do not exchange customer lists for money. However, third-party technologies used on our Site, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, may collect information through cookies or similar technologies as described in this Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of each third-party website or service you visit.
Do Not Track and Cross-Site Collection
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting. Because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
Third parties, including Google, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services when you use the Site, as described in the “Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising” section above.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to fulfill orders, provide customer service, maintain appropriate business and financial records, administer our marketing programs, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
Our retention periods depend on the nature of the information and the reason for processing it. We retain order and transaction records for 7 years. We retain marketing-subscription and SMS consent records, opt-out requests, and suppression-list information for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at fiona@saffronandpoe.com so that we can take appropriate action.
Your Information Requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us at fiona@saffronandpoe.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may retain information where required or permitted by law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the Effective Date above. If we make a material change, we may provide additional notice as appropriate under the circumstances.
