Reflections by Mika Street Photography

Mika Street spent a year of her childhood living in Marmaris, Turkey—a time she remembers with great affection. What left the deepest impression, even after all these years, was the warmth and generosity of the people. Despite language and cultural differences, she and her family were welcomed as neighbors. 

Years later, Mika was thrilled to return to Turkey, this time exploring Cappadocia and Istanbul. Long captivated by the dream of photographing hot air balloons floating over the Göreme and Rose Valleys, and the majestic Anatolian horses, she found the experience exceeded all expectations. Yet once again, it was the kindness and spirit of the people that left the most lasting impact.
