These counter stools are expertly handcrafted by our artisan partners in Bali with Javanese teak wood and leather. There is variation between natural materials and leather, making each piece unique and one of a kind. The supple semi vegetable-tanned leather has a softly worn waxed finish that deepens into a distinctive patina. Please note that because of the natural dying process, the leather color can vary slightly from batch to batch. Variations in texture and tone are all inherent to the leather hide and the dying process.

Care Instructions: Our natural matte teak comes without any finish or protective treatment. The wood is merely polished, allowing the natural oils to rise to the surface. The high density of teak has the advantage that stains do not penetrate the wood as easily. Even with these characteristics, spills should be removed immediately.

For regular dusting, use a dry cloth. For cleaning or in case of a spill, use a damp cloth and natural soap. Wipe in the direction of the grain. Do not use soap containing detergent or other chemicals. Dry with a soft, clean cloth to prevent spotting.

The natural Teak wood is unfinished so shouldn’t have any oils or finishes applied to it, otherwise it will take on a more yellow/orange tone.

Care Instructions: Spot clean leather with a dry cloth. We do not recommend the use of leather care products on our unfinished leather.
