Woven Leather Bench - Saddle - Second Quality

Handcrafted in Bali by

The Denpasar Furniture Workshop

STORY + DESCRIPTION

Designed for the moments that unfold throughout the day, our Saddle Woven Leather Bench brings warmth, texture, and effortless versatility to any space. Whether welcoming guests in an entryway, creating a quiet pause at the foot of the bed, or offering additional seating around the dining table when friends gather, its handwoven saddle leather and timeless silhouette make it a piece complements both relaxed and refined interiors.

These benches are expertly handcrafted by our artisan partners in Bali with Javanese teak wood and leather. There is variation between natural materials and leather, making each piece unique and one of a kind. The supple semi vegetable-tanned leather has a softly worn waxed finish that deepens into a distinctive patina over time. Please note that because of the natural dyeing process, the leather color can vary slightly from batch to batch. Variations in texture and tone are all inherent to the leather hide and the dyeing process.

What are second quality pieces?

Seconds are pieces of furniture or accessories that don't quite pass our rigorous quality control standards but are still structurally sound - they're what we like to call nearly perfect. Some examples of imperfections are marks and scuffs, scratches on leather, or inconsistency in color. The best part? These pieces are offered from 20% - 50% off regular prices!

All seconds items are final sale. No coupon codes or trade discounts can be applied. Flat rate delivery will be available, or store pick up at our Mill Valley location (because we'd love to say hi!).

DIMENSIONS + DETAILS

Wood Finish: Natural Matte Teak

Leather: Saddle Full Grain Leather

Dimensions:

Small: 48" L x 15.5" D x 17.5" H

Large: 60" L x 15.5" D x 17.5" H

Cleaning: Spot clean leather with a dry cloth. Wipe wood with a damp cloth and dry immediately.

The natural Teak wood is unfinished so shouldn’t have any oils or finishes applied to it, otherwise it will take on a more yellow/orange tone. If any marks or dirt appear over time you can just wash them off with water, and if that doesn’t work sand them away with a fine sandpaper!

Leather Protector/Conditioners:

Leather CPR  is a leather conditioner that can be used to revive the leather and buff out small markings, and we can vouch that it works wonders! There are some leather protectants on the market that can be used to minimize the risk of water markings. Here is a link to one of the highest recommended products we’ve encountered.  As with any natural material, products can affect each piece differently. We recommend testing it first on a small, non-visible area before applying to the entire piece. No product will make leather entirely resistant to water and oil stains.
